Late show host Seth Meyers just went there! On Thursday night’s episode of his show, he made a brutal comparison between Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein and President Trump. Weinstein recently became entrenched in a massive sexual harassment scandal. Meyers commented on the Weinstein situation:
“This entire ordeal is yet another window into the entitled mind of powerful, predatory men who are used to operating without consequence.”
Meyers then highlighted Trump’s treatment of the San Juan Mayor. He called it misogynistic and noted how both men enjoy asserting their dominance.
“His campaign and now his presidency have been in many ways, a performance of dominance,” Meyers added. “A performance, that has in many cases, been explicitly misogynist.”
During Trump’s campaign, he threatened to sue the women who accused him of sexual assault. Meyers commented, “This should not be a partisan issue. Men need to speak up and address their complicity in the system that allows these things to happen.”
Trump faced several accusations of sexual assault after the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape went public. On the recording, Trump claimed that when a man is a celebrity, women will let the man do anything, including grabbing them between the legs.
“Harvey Weinstein was, after far too long, found out and fired. Donald Trump has been found out for a year and we’re still waiting. What’s the hold-up?”
